Front-End Software Engineer –

Minneapolis / Headquarters

eLumen is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join our Minneapolis office. The ideal

candidate has technical experience in a collaborative team environment delivering highly scalable

Software as a Service applications built using the Angular development platform running on AWS.

Our team in Minneapolis provides leadership to our global Software Development team. In this

role, you will architect and develop compelling catalog templates that highlight pathways through

programs of study for the students of our University clients. Your work will help increase

graduation rates, aid students in completing programs that more efficiently lead to further

education or career advancement. This role will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is not

open to remote employees.

All over the world, tens of thousands of Colleges, Community Colleges, and Universities teach the

next generation of talent. These institutions are under great pressure to provide meaningful

instruction that actually prepares students for the real world. Meanwhile, they are also navigating

Position Responsibilities:

● Be extremely passionate about learning the Higher Education Technology domain.

● Be self-organized and a “bird-dog” who hunts down knowledge when institutional

knowledge gaps are found.

● Maintain and evolve mission-critical legacy applications and architectures.

● Collaborate with Product Owners and the UX team to establish modern UI patterns

by creating a front-end component library for use by the development teams.

● Own and drive project initiatives and technical direction.

● Facilitate meetings to gather, socialize, and refine technical solutions.

● Communicate technical vision verbally and through diagrams, flowcharts, layouts,

and charts.

● Research and recommend open-source software or third-party tools.

● Continuously strive to improve the software development process.

● Work within an agile, continuous deployment development environment.

● Provide aid and support to other departments in the use of software.

● Stay up to date on the latest programming techniques and development tools.

Qualifications:

● 2-5 years’ development experience in Angular required.

● 2-5 years’ development experience with HTML, CSS, and jQuery/JavaScript required.

● 2-5 years’ development experience on Software as a Service applications preferred

● Experience in the application of WCAG 2.1, Level AA, standards strongly preferred

● Experience with Amazon’s AWS Cloud is strongly preferred.

● Knowledge or experience with Jira and GitHub strongly preferred.

● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.

● Strong communication and creativity skills.

● Strong technical design skills.

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

We are seeking to immediately hire a full-time Customer Success Manager to join this expanding team. The successful applicant will work directly with college and university administrators to set goals, metrics, and action plans to provide increasing value to our partner institutions. An eLumen CSM understands the higher education technology market and can engage administrators, staff and faculty in a strategic conversation.

Application Support Manager-
Minneapolis / Headquarters

eLumen is looking for an Application Support Manager to join our Minneapolis office.  The ideal candidate has strong technical experience in a collaborative team environment managing an onshore and offshore support team.  Our team in Minneapolis provides leadership to our global Software Development team.  In this role, you will manage the team that administers the company’s SaaS software, provide incident triage and support, and work with the development teams to deploy and identify new features and services that support our client’s needs and streamline our operations.  This individual will partner closely with Customer Success and Product Development to review, analyze, evaluate, remediate and reduce production-impacting events This role will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is not open to remote employees.
